2017 Cobra CX65 Highlights & Improvement

At the apex of Cobra’s model lineup is the multi-National championship winning CX65. For 2017, this bike receives a TON of improvements starting with a massive power improvement and continuing end-to-end with revised brakes, transmission, and clutch.

  • NEW! Tri-Port Cylinder – Our all-new porting for 2017 really wakes up the beast! Not only are peak numbers higher, but the 2017 CX65 achieves an incredibly flat torque curve. The result: lots of grunt for great holeshots and carving the inside line in addition to massive over-rev that keeps pulling down the longest of straightaways.
  • NEW! Power Valve – The 2017 CX65 receives a new single blade power valve that seals better to the piston improving bottom-end torque.
  • NEW! Expansion Chamber – All-new pipe for 2017 works in synergy with the new cylinder to produce class-leading horsepower and torque.
  • NEW! Forged Clutch Cap – Stronger and stiffer forging provides better clutch feel, improved clutch line routing, and piston travel is increased to lengthen clutch life.
  • NEW! Transmission – New for 2017 are improved involute spline transmission gears that provide buttery smooth shifting under load.
  • NEW! Rear Brake Caliper – New dual piston design provides improved brake feel, reduces unsprung weight, and packages tightly to the swingarm.
  • NEW!  Bel-Ray Factory Fill – Cobra and Bel-Ray, two proud American companies with a long history in motocross, are teaming up this model year to ensure that each Cobra model comes from the factory with the finest in lubricants and chemicals. This includes everything from wheel bearing grease, to brake fluid, to suspension fluid, to the oil on the air filter.
  • Breakaway Low-Friction Ergonomic Levers. Both the clutch and front brake feature high quality levers that are designed to give rather than break during a fall.

  • Revolutionary MXT “Smart Leg” Front Fork – Cobra’s exclusive 37mm USD CARD fork is designed to be the finest fork in minicycle racing! The Smart architecture simultaneously provides supple action over small bumps, and progressive control through the biggest of hits…A feature especially important for minicycles that run on tracks torn up by bikes twice their size! This fork also features fully adjustable rebound and compression damping and bottoming control adjustment not found on any other fork of any size!
  • Super Strong Front Hub/Axle Combo – Complimenting the CARD 37mm front fork is Cobra’s hollow axle and full-clamp fork bottoms. Works equipment right off the showroom floor!
